Hygiene |
|
Computer-controlled hygiene management |
| |
During filtration cycles, a 90-litre
/ minute magnetic-drive pump forces the salt solution - at high
pressure - through a 30-micron mesh filter element to remove impurities. |
| |
| · |
Two high-power waterjets
in the floatation chamber create an efficient circulation pattern,
ensuring that the entire 550 litres of solution is circulated at
least twice during a 15-minute filtration cycle. |
| |
 |
|
|
Automation |
| |
|
With the AutoPilot
and TankMaster
systems, the end-of-session filtration is fully automatic. An electronic
sensor "detects" the floater leaving the tank at the
end of every float session, and triggers a pre-timed 15-minute pump
cycle. |
| |
· |
On completion of the filtration cycle,
all Pathfinder circuits revert to energy-saving standby mode, ready
for the next float session. |
| |
| |
To maintain optimum hygiene in a heavily-used
commercial tank, the filtration system can be set to perform timed
filtration cycles overnight, or periodic filtration cycles when
the tank is left unattended for any length of time. |
| |
· |
However, the computerised circuitry will
never allow the pump to run while the tank is in use and a float
session is in progress. |

Standard treatment |
| |
|
Although the 22% salt concentration has a powerful
sterilizing effect, and eliminates most micro- organisms, the tank
solution needs additional treatment - to eliminate "salt-loving
micro-organisms" and to break-down organic waste such as
body oil and sweat. |
| |
| |
· |
Most treatment methods are chemical. |
| |
· |
Unlike most tank manufacturers, we do not recommend
the use of chlorine
in floatation tanks. |
| |
| |
Pathfinder's standard
treatment method incorporates an in-line bromine
dispenser in the filtration unit, which automatically maintains
low levels (2-4 parts per million) of free bromine in the solution
- providing effective hygiene management, with none of the down-side
of chlorine. |

Oxygen treatment ... the world's first
chemical-free tank treatment system |
| |
|
Pathfinder can be fitted with a totally
chemical-free natural
oxygen filtration system. This approach is a synergy of three
advanced water-treatment technologies: |
| |
| |
· |
An oxygenation chamber splits the tank water into
natural oxidizing gasses (O1, O2, OH, H202) releasing large amounts
of pure natural oxygen (O2). Pure oxygen is the most powerful "oxidant"
and is far more effective at killing-off micro-organisms than chemical
oxidants. |
| |
· |
A vacuum-ionization chamber releases copper ions
(a powerful, natural, non-toxic bacteriocide) into the solution. |
| |
· |
An ultra-violet
light chamber destroys the DNA of micro-organisms, and breaks
down organic waste. |
| |
| |
Absolutely no chemical
treatment is needed. There are absolutely no chemical
residues in the tank solution. Even the alkalinity
of the tank solution is neutral.
Besides offering the world's-first 100% chemical-free floatation tank, the natural oxygen treatment results in elevated levels of pure oxygen in the tank atmosphere - combining the benefits of oxygen therapy with floatation.
